Thank you for posing some good questions and good ideas.
M/M Rizer are both buried in Meridian Cemetery. I've looked thru that
listing of graves and several others in that county.
She would have been 57 on the 1910 census which is still pretty young and
may still be alive. In 1870 and 1880 she was listed as Tabitha Carter but
1900 she is listed as Bitha Carter.
I doubt she would have gone back to LA. She and her two brothers were
"orphans" brought to Texas by another family when they were very young.
I've never found any relatives in LA.
Would you mind giving me the information on the two Bertha Carters you found
in different counties. I would love to track them and see if they are
Tabitha.
