Sylvia, you're a long way up there! and I don't envy you your weather...
RE your unsoled problem --
All too often people go by the 'high cheekbones' and 'looks like it.' Looks
do not the Indian make. But a time line might prove helpful in solving your
problem . placing all known information in this format will often trigger
some idea on where to look, what needs to be done (census, etc.), or
something else --
1801 Mar 24: Ephram Jackson b. in NC
c. 1821: Ephram md. Elizabeth Black
What is the first census you have them on? Can you pinpoint or guess a NC
county?? If so, then a check of published county histories would be in
order.
??? moves to Texas
??? dates of death
buried in Smithwick Cemetery, Burnet Co TX
"Several Children": You have given one,
?? date born?? Frank Bradford Jackson
& Frank's son, Verne Riley Jackson
b. ?? d. ?? bur in ?? Cemetery, Karnes City TX
Who were the other children?
I checked my copies of Jordan's "Cherokee by Blood" that gives an abstract
of the Applications .. did not find any Ephram Jackson ---
