Hi,

The mystery has been solved. I heard parts of the story last night on a
local TV report. I looked for the report this morning in the local
newspapers but don't find it. I didn't get all the details. But a young
man, maybe in his mid-30's came forward and said when he was a young kid, he
stole the half-broken stone and took it home with him. He kept it in his
room for years and then put in a garage or shed, then they moved. I guess
someone found it this week. The tv report showed him and his family taking
the stone to Smithfield Cemetery and it fits the other half of the stone
which is still in the ground. A local monument company is going to repair
the headstone.
