Yup must have been me. I take pictures for www.texasescapes.com and somehow we got to talking about all those markers, and I googled and found it. My goal is to get a database made up, so I can sort by towns. Then all the other contributors can be on the lookout for them too. If anyone is interested in helping photograph, or make the list, please let me know! This has turned into a very big project.
Many of the markers are of sites but we are going to include surrounding areas, maybe even portraits or URLs for further reference.

Sarah, I must have been right behind you since the book dealer said "just
sold this week." To my knowledge, THC has not pulled this category out for
a specific search. As chairman of the Harris County Historical Commission's
Marker Inventory Committee, we have just completed our third over many
years. This time, thanks to the computer, we've prepared a database. We're
luck to have a fellow who volunteered to do that. It will be up on our
official site sometime in May. While it does duplicate the THC Atlas, it
goes several steps further .... and one of the categories is what you're
looking for. I have no idea at this point how many we have but if anyone is
interested, just send me
a private e-mail and I'll be glad to get the list pulled up.
