Hi. Yes, if you need a lookup in another state you need to post it to that
state's census lookup list. I have access to all the states census indexes
so I looked in AR as well, but when I searched for Alton JOBE b.c.1926-30 I
didn't find any listing in AR for him either. The listing from Bosque Co TX
was the only one indexed. That's why I suggested using his parents names.
But if you don't know them then it is a little tricky. Altho Alton should be
listed, I'm wondering if he was indexed by another name. Do you know what
the middle initial E might stand for? A search for Alton, b1926-30, without
a last name, as a son, in AR, gave 116 hits, but none of the last names were
JOBE/JUBE or anything close. Do you know what county in AR they came from?

There was this other listing in TX I looked at, with a name similar to
Alton, but his parents were both born TX.
Valton Jobe, R A Jobe,Jewel Jobe, Precinct 1, Hopkins, TX abt 1928 Son

This is most likely Alton's SS information. You could send for a copy of the
record and see if it contains any other information about his parents that
might help your search..
