Thank you, to everyone on the list, who answered my questions, need
all the help i can get!
Co. E, "i" Cooks Regiment:
My g.g.grandfather was William G. Maxey born in Chambers, Alabama
but grew up in Lauderdale County, Mississippi. Joined in Galveston, Tx.
Filed for pension in Eagle Springs, Coryell Co., Texas in July of 1900.
The witnesses on his application were A. Alexander & W.H. Crain who
resided in Waco, McLennan Co., Texas. Said they had known W.G. Maxey
for over 30yrs., and served with him, A. Alexander said he first knew him
in
Virginia Point, Texas.
Once again Thank you!
Cheryl
