Especially for COUNTY HISTORICAL COMMISSIONS, your county or city leaders who are involved with cemeteries in your county, as well as individuals and groups working cemeteries in your county .........

This is for anyone doing any type of cemetery work. Individual or group - family, church, community - or lone gravesite. Presented by the Texas Historical Commission, restoration & preservation issues will be discussed and you will also learn how to apply for the official designation of Historic Texas Cemetery. County historical commission members and city & county representatives who have cemeteries in their jurisdiction are urged to register.
There will be a short presentation on "cemeteries & genealogy," as well as a SPECIAL GUEST, Dr. Perkey Beisel, telling about the preservation and interpretative program for the cemeteries along the East Texas corridor of the El Camino Real, and discussing the "Preserve America" grant from the National Park Service.

Each day lunch is provided and a syllabus that will be a useful reference long after the conference is over.
