My great-grandmother's maiden name was Francina Lester (1850-1913). According to the 1860 Anderson County census she had several siblings: Florence (8 years old at the time), Belvina, 6, and Robert, 3.

Their father is listed as W. L. Lester, though the 1850 census identifies him as William S. Lester. He was born in Georgia. His wife, Emily E. Lester, was born in Tennessee (maiden name Rogers?).

The 1850 census also indicates that George Lester, 63, and Martha Lester, 59, were residing with them at the time, as well as Phoebe A. Lester, 22, and Thomas J. Lester, 21.

Do you think this is the same Florence and family as yours? If so, I'd love to know any information you have on the Lesters, and I can also share a little bit more with you about the Lester family.
