The first web address below will define and explain just about anything you
want to know about terms in early American land transactions, including
land patents, warrents, assignments, etc....what they are and how they came
to be.
The second web address below offers a free program (choice of windows or
DOS version) which allows you to enter the metes & bounds deed boundry
descriptions of a piece of land and a plat of the land will be drawn on
screen and can be printed on your printer. (I havn't checked this location
for a while, but I think it is still offering the program for free).
