new information has Carolina Mardaus first marrying a Reineke, then Kaase.
John and Dorokrat Mardaus arrived in Texas 1852. They are in the 1860 census as John Modaus. It is the same as I am familiar with his children. They lived in pct 1 in Austin County. I have them in each census through 1900. We are hoping that Carolina was the daughter of a brother of John. Any info will be appreciated.
