The William Horne in Hill County in 1860 is definitely the same person as William Horne on the 1850 Austin County census. If you will check the 1860 census again, I believe you will see that his occupation is given as physician. The writing is just difficult to read. The children's names are also correct.

On the following website, Dr. Horne's full name is William Thornburg Horne.
