Bob,
I personally don't know of any books written by the Historical Society. I
did see the one for Fayette County that sounds like it was written like the
one you read for Lee County. It would be nice if there was one for Bastrop
written like that. Each page has a little on the pioneer families, where
they came from and who their children were.
There is the Austin Colony Pioneers that have some Bastrop families in it and
the Rockne Book which has most of that area's family information up to
present date.
Each of the books posted in the emails since your question, are excellent
resources.
I know there is one on Edward Burleson, one written by a local Smithville
woman who tells who owned and lived in each building/house in Smithville, and
another I was told about by a Paige woman that has that area's history. I
don't have the names of those books nor the authors.
