I understand that a "Mr. Tannehill" were one of the first 4 settlers in Bastrop, TX. My "step father", and the only father I ever knew, was Elmer Leigh Tannehill. His father Jefferson Davis Tannehill lived with our family until his death.
I remember tales that his family owned property that the capitol of Texas was built on.
Is there someone out there who has information about these Tannehills?
Any help would be appreciated.
