I made a visit to the Grand Lodge in Waco a few years ago and was able to
look up some info for myself. They will not do it for you, but the person
led me to the place I needed to be and helped me get down the books. I was
able to look through books dating from 1861 through 1919. I found my
ancestor and found that he was an officer, etc. He was a member of Red Rock
Lodge # 310, which merged with Gamble in 1943. I was unable to find more
because some of the books were checked out by Masons for some kind of study,
but I got what I needed. It gave me the dates I was looking for and the
location of my ancestor for those dates. So, unless something has changed
since 2001, they still do not do research, but will allow you to come and do
it yourself.
