I checked the index at Ancestry for Brooks in Bastrop County...there are 21 listed. Names, ages and places of birth would help narrow the search. (1870 census)

There were no Jessie, Mary Jane or Eliza Williams. There are several John's....age or place of birth might help narrow the search. (1870 Census)
