I had a question awhile back regarding the availability of Texas newspapers (in particular Bastrop county) in microfilm format via inter-library loan. I think I've found the answer to my question and thought I'd share it with you.

The Center for American History at the University of Texas in Austin has completed its Texas Newspaper Project as of March 2000. Over 1 million of pages of Texas newspapers from almost every county in Texas have been microfilmed. Many are available through inter-library loan and others available on site. To see details regarding the project, go to: http://www.cah.utexas.edu/newspapers/tnp.html There you will be able to download a complete listing of available Texas newspapers. I was pleased to see many of the Bastrop county papers included in this list. Now my next step is to see if I can order them through ILL from my local public library. Hope this helps others!
