Do you ever get tired? Holy smokes like really, you don't even need to visit the BAstrop Courthouse for anything. Great job as always, LL

Subject: [TXBASTRO] What's New on the Bastrop Co TX site - Election Returns & Probate Minutes
Election Returns Volume A 1886 to 1929 located in the Court Section.
Interesting to know there were more than 2 parties, Democrates and Republicans, during this timeframe. Lists the voting district locations, what type of election and who ran, with the number of votes. Also listed are some elections for other counties and the state as a whole. Included is an image of the actual 1912 ballot. There is no index, except for 2 types of elections, not people's names. These are images of the actual volume.
Probate Minutes Volume A and Volume B, located in the Vitals Section.
You can use the Probate Minute Index to find the deceased but to find the other names mentioned in the minutes, you will need to scroll page by page.
Also, for African American researchers, slave names are listed in some of the probate minutes. These two volumes go from the early 1830's to 1847. These are images of the actual volumes.
Probate Minutes Volume C will be uploaded soon.
Birth Indexes A to Z, adding to what has been uploaded on the page and in the archives of rootsweb, will complete all the years available for births for Bastrop County - will be uploaded soon.
One researcher of the prohibition elections said some county's only keep the required years worth (4 years) of records and destroy the rest so Bastrop is lucky that records are available going back to the 1830's.
