Tammy: If you live around Bastrop you must know some of the Coy family. They
are my folks. My grandfather, Victor Coy, came to Bastrop almost 100 years
ago from San Antonio. He had 13 children half born in San Antonio and the
others in Bastrop. My research shows that there over 700 Coy descendents
from Victor's kids alone. Most of us were born in Bastrop but others moved
to Austin. There is another group of Coy descendents in San Antonio and
South Texas. Altogether about 2000. We are all related over 9 generations. I
have a book at the Bastrop library that shows my research.

I agree with Art.
I pay monthly about $36.00 for all their records. I know if I can't research
for a month, I can stop it for that month, then resume when needed.

accurate family information. It will cost you but it is worth it if you have
a large family.

Mary
Please give us more information on Isaac. Where did he live and who did he
marry and when and the names of his kids, if any
Not stating your grandfather wasn't born in TX but I find that a lot of
folks born 1850 and before weren't born in TX because it was only about 1835
when they started moving in.
Anyway, when I can't find anyone I look at every year and every person in
the family to get naming patterns or living areas, etc for clues. There are
a lot of Isaac Nixon's so I'm not sure which is yours.

Are there any Nixon decendents in Bastrop? My great grandfather Isaac J
Nixon was born in Texas about 1850. We always thought it was in Travis
County but can only find a marriage for him there. Could he have been
related to the Nixons of Bastrop County. Any help would be appreciated. Mary
