Texanna Tucker Shepheard died at the Bell County Home in 1956. I found the
transcription of the patients at the home and was very surprised to see Texanna
on the list. No one in my family knew that Texanna had ever been there. I'm not
sure why she was there, but I would like to leave some notes about my family.

This is from my maternal line.

My first family group is unconfirmed: William M. Tucker b. 7/26/1827 in Alabama
m. 6/15/1863 in Brenham, Washington Co, TX to Rachel Rutha Anna Joines b. abt.
1837 in Georgia. Children: Texanna, William Thomas, Louisa, Jensy/Anita. My
grandmother told me that Texanna was the Joines, but I was offered this
information from a Joines descendant.

David Samuel Shepheard (I found various spellings) b. 6/16/1854 in Columbia Co,
AR d. 4/18/1943 in Milam Co, Texas m. Texanna Tucker b. 11/10/1864 in Texas d.
9/12/1956 in Belton, Bell Co, Texas. Children: Nettie, Rachel, Rebecca, Minnie,
Elizabeth, Syvilla, Eula Mae, Willie, Andabell, Narcissus, Jesse T., Raymond. In
this group, my grandmother provided all the information except Texanna's last
name and Syvilla, although she could not remember the name of a child which died
in infancy.

Texanna was admitted to the home on May 29, 1956 by her son, Jesse. Jesse lived
at Holland at the time. If anyone knows of Jesse or his mother, I would love to
hear from them. I have found SHEPPARD, SHEPHERD and SHEPHEARD in various records
related to these families.
