Is it possible they were living in another household? When a fellow
researcher was seeking our Deaver line during the brief period they were in
GA after Civil War, she found them in a Wiggins household. (One of the
daughters had married a Wiggins.) Sometimes you have to be really creative
in your search...heh. Be sure to take a look at the surrounding counties,
like Milam and Williamson.

Subject: [TXBELL] Bell Co. 1870 census

Hello,
I am in a dilemma. I went to the family history center in
Mesa Az, yesterday, and for the second time with through the
whole Bell Co census for 1870, and could not find my family.
They were there in 1880, and I do have a birth on one of
them in 1869, in the city of Belton. Also on the death
certificates I have received they state they were born in
Bell Co. So my question is what do I do now? I have no idea
where to go from here. To be honest I am totally baffled on
where they could have been. I even tried some of there
neighbors from the 1880 census hoping to find them in the
1870 census, and could not. Any suggestions on what to do
now? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sherry
