Many families came from TN and AL to North West AR (Washington and contiguous
counties) about 1826...then a large group went to Central Texas in several
waves between 1842 and 1855...I will gladly help anyone interested in
research for the NW AR counties...my family connections who followed this
path were Ake, West, Kiser, Barnes, Mulllis, Robbins, Hannah, Marrs...to name
just a few. The path to Uvalde and Bee (also Wilson and Atascosa) counties
seems to be typical as well.
