Subject: [TXBELL] Bell County Trip Update

Well, I arrived in Bell County late Saturday night. Most of my time since then has been spent on Taylor's Valley Cemetery. A cousin and I did a little cleanup out there to clear a path to out ancestor's grave in the back. (The site is due for a major cleanup soon!) I made some B&W photos for the historical marker application, which is almost completed. We had some monument guys come out and repair our ancestor's tombstone this afternoon and it looks great. If anyone needs any local gravestone repair done, I can highly recommend Temple Granite Works. :)

Late this afternoon, I did make it to North Belton Cemetery and took over 40 photos. Unfortunately, none of the staff was still there that late, so I did not get to ask them about a source for data transcription. I hope to stop there again before my stay is finished. Most of tomorrow will be dedicated to visiting and photographing up to ten other cemeteries in the Temple and Belton areas. Weather looks great for it anyway.
