Betty,

As I stated before the records at the Bell County Clerks office begin in
1903, so I was unable to find any information on Valentine Sawyer.

However I did find a record for Coston Sawyer. It was just one line in a
book:
Vol 1, page 239 line 36
Caston Sawyer, White male, 88 years 29 days, Born: Native, Residence: City,
Date of Death: November 25, 1906, 10:30 am, Belton,Texas, Cause: Syncopia;
Physician: Taylor Hudson, Belton, TX

I also found the following marriage record:
Vol D Page 39
Coston J. Sawyer married Susan E. McKinney on September 16, 1860, James Cox,
Minister of the Gospel.
