In 1990 I went to the Hewett Funeral Home and copied records from an old
book on my great grandfather Bedford Forrest Thornton. Has the fire
occurred since then ? If so, such a shame as there were all kinds of
records in that book. Not only did I find where my ancestor died but
why, his funeral record, names of children and cost of funeral.
