I hope everyone has an enjoyable and prosperous new year!

You've probably noticed that I haven't been around much lately here on
the list or as active updating the TXBELL site. For the past few weeks,
I have been house shopping (my first!) here in the Dallas area. I
decided the rates were too good to pass up and it was time to stop
putting money into rent. Last Friday, I closed on my new house up in
Denton County. Over the next two weeks, I will be packing and moving.
I will still being doing updates here and there during this period, but
probably won't return to a regular update cycle until about mid-January.
Unfortunately, after three years of DSL, I now have to go back to
dial-up access in the new neighborhood. (No cable or DSL available
there yet, only satellite.) That will take some adjustment (and
patience...heh) for me, definitely. My travelling distance to Bell
County will likely increase from 2.5 to about 3 hours, though I still
plan to make it down a few times a year, particularly for the cemetery
work sessions.

Sometime in the next week or so, I plan to make an announcement about
how our volunteers and material are coordinated. My hope is that we can
ask 2-3 volunteers to help coordinate the flow of material coming in,
while I mainly work on the website maintenance. (All of us would help
answer questions, of course.) There are a lot of great ideas we can
implement if we have enough volunteer support. Several have been on the
"coming soon" list for over a year. Look for the announcement soon.
