In answer to your question, no, I don't live in that area. I'm about 45 minutes away, but on occasion I do research at the library in Belton. I'm researching the history of my church, to include previous pastors. I'll be going through Belton on my way to Temple, TX next week...I'll see what I can find at the library while I'm there.
Also, you mentioned that you found Emma in the 1920 census, so I looked up the census image. Did you notice that her street address is listed...206 E. 6th Street. Penelope Street is also listed for an address above and below her on the census. That area has a lot of historical homes. It's not too far from the courthouse square. Their home may still be there. It appears on the census that there were a couple of other small families living at the same address...may have been a larger house that was divided into apartments. I'll drive down the street when I'm there to see if 206 looks like an older home.
