Did any of your Griffin's marry a Holden from Milam or Bell County? My gg
grandmother was Cecila Ann Fortenberry Johnson and my grandmother told me
that her sister was Martha Holden. I looked in the census records for Milam
county and found her living at one point with a daughter who had married a
Griffin. I think his name was James but not sure. It was hard to read the
census.

I am interested in contacting anyone for information about these Griffins
buried in the N. Belton cemetery:

L. F. Griffin died of "apophxy" at 7 pm on Dec 20, 1924 in Bell county
Date of birth listed as March 5 (no year) Age: 73 years 9 mos. 15 days.

"Mother" Laura B. Griffin 1879 - 1956
Thelma April 12, 1902 - Sept. 18, 1921
Maggie June 19, 1909 - June 2, 1936
