I went to the library today and had a few minutes so I looked up the death date on Earnest Floyd and then his obit.

Temple Daily Telegram July 14, 1969

E. E. Floyd

E. E. Floyd, 73, of 1119 S. 4th St. died at his home early Sunday morning of an apparent heart attack.
Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the First Christian Church, Rev. Clyde Nichols officiating. Burial will be in the North Belton Cemetery.
Mr. Floyd was born and raised in Madisonville. He was married to the former Miss Mary L. Umberhagen of Belton and was a retired post office employee. He was a member of ..... (lots and lots of groups)
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary L. Floyd of Temple, a sister, Ruth Floyd of Temple and several nieces and nephews in the Temple area. He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers, and four sisters.
Pallbearers will be masons.
Harper - Talasek Funeral Home is in charge.
