I am a volunteer researcher for the Texas Peace Officers Memorial. I came across an index from Corpus Christi newspaper 10 Jun 1893 that William H BROWN, a posse member shot by escapee at Salado on or about 30 May 1893. Same article states Thomas GANNON shot by drunken miner who was trying to escape city marshall. Any information on this incident, men killed, and place of burial would be appreciated. Information sent to Bell County Sheriff Dan Smith.
