C. C. (possibly Christopher Columbus) RATHER and Susan M. (Mattie) HARRIS married between 1855 and 1860 believe in Bell County, Texas.

They had six children:

1. J. E. Rather
2. John Walker Rather (b Oct 1860; m Minnie B. Hague 1888, Kaufman Co. TX)
3. William E. Rather b abt 1863
4. Luda Rather, b abt 1869, married Allan Dow, date unknown
5. Maude Rather b abt 1872, married Ed E. Sinclair, date unknown. These are buried in North Belton Cementery, but no dates listed.
6. Haywood Rather (male), b abt 1874

I would appreciate anyone who is in the courthouse searching the old marriage records checking for any or all of the above. Thank you for this assistance.
