Subject: Hotel Fire abt 1963 San Antonio Area and Tom FREEMAN Death

Does anyone know anything about a fire in a San Antonio area hotel or
motel abt 1963 ?

I have a missing Tom FREEMAN, prob b TN abt 1873/4, who we think died in
or as a result of such a fire.

This Tom may have worked as a traveling salesman in OK and TX around 1910
and did have a brother Levie or Lee who was b abt 1862/64 TN. Last record
of Tom and Lee found in 1880 Benton, Saline Co, AR Census where their
ages were listed as 6 and 16 respectively. Thought to possibly have been
in area of Mt Pleasant, Maury Co, TN in 1904 when an older brother, Nat,
b 1861 TN, was shot and died. This family is from Lincoln Co, TN and they
were in AR no more than abt 6 years between 1877 and 1884. Another older
brother, Jack, b 1860 TN, lived in the Florence, AL area abt 1915. Can't
find brother Moses b abt 1870/71 either. There were 3 sisters: Sally m
Marion Fletcher BLEDSOE, Alice m Robert HAMBY or HANBY, and Lula. Had
sisters-in-law (Lucy, Mary Jane, and Maggie BUCKINGHAM) from Marshall Co,
TN between Chapel Hill and Lewisburg. Counties in TN are all south
central between Huntsville, AL and Nashville, TN.
