Hi Sandy,
James Edwards b.1807 NC and Elizabeth Jane "Betsy" had a son named George
Edwards on the 1850 Bowie Co.TX census which says he was 18 yrs. old at
the time and born in TN. He married Loana A. b.abt. 1840 GA. I don't know
what her last name was. Kids were Bushrod b.abt 1860 GA, John T. b.abt.1864
TX, Osa Abt.1865 TX, George A. b.abt.1866 TX and Mary T. b.abt.1870 TX.
His sister, Lydia Briscoe Edwards b.1842 TN married James A. Wooten b.1830
VA. He is buried at Dalby Springs and she is buried at New Hope in Bowie
Co. TX. I don't know anything about George and his family other than the
above.
