James T. Hawkins is my great-grandfather. His full name is James Talmage Winfield Hawkins, born between February 1854 -1857 in Alabama and died July 1934 in New Boston, son of John Hawkins. James & Nancy were married Dec. 21, 1879. Sorry, there didn't seem to be a good place for that information. I believe he is the J. T. Hawkins buried at Sand Hill, but he remarried & I believe he is buried near his wife, but I can't find her name, so am not sure. My mother says he is buried at Sand Hill. I don't know.

Dianne,
Is this James T. Hawkins who married Nancy Lou Hardy the same or a different James T. Hawkins than James Thomas Hawkins b.11/9/1878 who married Nina Vernon? He is buried at Woodmen Cemetery in DeKalb. He was my grandfather's brother and we called him "Uncle Tom". I was wondering whether he had a first wife that I was not aware of or if there were two James T. Hawkins about the same age in Bowie Co. at the same time. Thanks. Mary
