Some things are just too eerie to explain. I have been trying to get a death certificate for my grandmother who died in a hospital in Texarkana in 1949. Texas says they don't have a death certificate for her (she lived on the Texas side). So I thought maybe the hospital was located on the Ark side. Arkansas told me today that they don't have one either. If she died in a hospital, couldn't you pretty well count on a death certificate? I decided to try to find out what hospital; and, when I looked up the Bowie County page, here was a list of responses about the hospitals in Texarkana. Some things are just too eerie.
(She had a broken hip; which one would they have taken her to in 1949 if she lived on the Texas side -- in your opinion?)
