Dear Doris,
Thank you so much for your reply. I have no other information other than the name Brian and that he died about age 18. I noticed that my great grandfather, Richard C. Shipp, was buried at Harmony Grove, Texarkana Tx. Maybe Brian is buried there. Brian was the son of W T Shipp and his first wife, Francis Hicks. I thought Francis was buried at Red Lick, but I don't find her name on the listing I have. Perhaps Brian is buried in the same cemetary as his mother. What a puzzle. My aunt Floy (Shipp Catterton) gave me this information Thursday at a family funeral but she was small when this happened and she had no more information.
Thank you for looking up W T and Sallie Shipp. Every time we went to Texarkana, my family would stop by the Nash Cemetary and we would pick up and leave flowers. My grandparents died before I was born so I didn't have the opportunity to know them. And yes, the Shipps supplied many educators to Texas. All but one were teachers, counselors, principals, etc. I'm so glad that you remember them. Contact me anytime at and thank you for the information.
