Do you know if your Fred was a teacher?
I found a small mention of Fred Dietzel in a book about
Indianola. He was listed as one of the teachers who received some money
from the county, I think.

One of the census I looked at had a young Fred listed. I think he was listed
as Michael's son. I'm guessing there is a connection between the two Freds.
If the older Fred was a teacher there could be other records on him.
