======

The Master Genealogist (or TMG) is the complete family
history project manager for Windows. Whether you are a
weekend hobbyist or a professional researcher, TMG
comes
with everything you need to manage volumes of research
data, photos, and sources. It provides tools to
organize
a research trip, including "To Do" lists, reference
material,
charts, and forms. TMG makes it easy to publish a
book,
complete with table of contents, and footnotes. This
workshop
will be a tutorial with instructions on the use all of
the
major features of TMG.

Donald R. Raney will be doing a TMG Workshop as the
Pre-Conference Workshop of the Angelina College
Genealogy
Conference this year.

This hands-on workshop is limited to 20 students.

The topic outline is still being finalized but Mr.
Raney
expects to include the following and more:

- the URL's of TMG Tip Pages and TMG Tutorials on the
Internet
- the TMG interface and the major display screens
- using the picklist and picklist filter capabilities
- adding people to the data base
- constructing new tags, working with tags, attaching
tags
to individuals

- instructions on how to accent your ancestors in TMG
- using TMG to construct your Family History by
creating reports
- how to generate a genealogy report that will be
exported to
a word processor where it can be copied and pasted
into an
e-mail to other researchers

- a brief introduction to the new TMG version 5.0
features
