I have now posted the 1811 census for the jurisdiction of La Bahia. As I
copied the records, I noticed places where perhaps errors were made in the
original typed transcription. It seemed as if phrases had been duplicated
or even omitted. However, I copied the original records as they were
published.

Most of the households were the same as in 1810, and even in the same order.
If you compare the two census records, you can see, though, where marriages,
births, deaths, etc., likely occurred. However, in some records, the
information was totally different, such as in the date of arrival or the
place of birth.

All in all, I am impressed with the record keeping of the time. It is
fascinating to compare the two records.

The links for both 1810 and 1811 are on the front page of the Refugio site,
and they will remain there for a few days. After that they can be accessed
from the Census link in the Table of Contents.
