DAVID SALDNA

David Saldna, 83, of Brownsville entered into eternal rest on Saturday,
March 18, 2006, at Valley Regional Medical Center.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, his greatest love was his
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Elena Saldaña; his
brothers, Francisco, Saul, Pablo, Daniel and Raul; and one sister, Irma
Saldaña.

He survived by his wife, Francisca Saldna; three sons, David (Mariana),
Jesus (Michelle) and Ismael (Linda); three daughters, Maria Elena, Yolanda
(Fernando) and Maricela Saldaña; 12 grandchildren, Yasmine, Elvis Perez,
David, Leonardo, Neidelin Saldaña, Francisca, Fernanda, Victor Paz, Healy
Saldaña, Brianna and Joshua Gutierrez. Mr. Saldaña is also survived by three
brothers, Rito, Dionisio and Moises; one sister, Maria Luisa Esquivel; and
several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a holy rosary to be
recited at 6 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at Funeraria Del Angel
Buena Vista.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2006, at
Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Buena Vista
Burial Park.

Serving as Pallbearers will be David, Jesus, Ismeal Saldaña, Fernando Paz,
Edd Molina and Jose Castillo.

JOHN ATKINS STEADMAN

John Atkins Steadman, 59, of Key West, Fla., who resided the later part of
his life in Brownsville, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March
17, 2006, at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, Houston, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Steadman of Key West, Fla.

Mr. Steadman is survived by his parents, John "Jack" (Ruth) Steadman of Key
West, Fla., and Grace Colton; sister Lynda Newbern (Stephen) of
Jacksonville, Fla.; longtime companion, Raquel Garcia; children John Anthony
Steadman of Brownsville, stepson Victor J. Garcia of Orlando, Fla., Jeffrey
Steadman Ladd (Shannon) of Mcnichols, Ga., and Jodi Presley (Ronnie) of Key
West, Fla.; and his grandchildren, Katelyn Presley, Morgan, Kyle and Kayla
Ladd.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a funeral service
beginning at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at Funeraria Del Angel
Buena Vista. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

ELIGIO S. CAMACHO JR.

Eligio S. Camacho Jr. entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 21, 2006,
at his residence in Brownsville.

He was born March 16, 1933, in Monterrey, NL, Mexico. His wife, Luz Delgado
Camacho, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his sons, Eligio Camacho III (Marisella), Jose Luis
Camacho (Sandra) and Marcos Camacho (Melissa); his daughters, Veronica
Gonzalez, Lilian Saldivar (Richard) and Luz Chavez (Rudy); three sisters,
Elma Garcia, Noemi Zuniga and Rosalia Ruth; 12 grandchildren, two
great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. There will be no
services. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.

FRANCISCO DORIA RAMOS

Francisco Doria Ramos, 82, entered into eternal rest, on Saturday, March 18,
2006, at Brownsville Nursing Center.

He was born in Los Fresnos, Texas, and lived in Brownsville most of his
life. Mr. Ramos was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Trinidad Ramos Sr.; a nephew, Jose
Ramos; and a sister-in-law, Petra Ramos.

He is survived by his brother, Cleto Ramos; nieces and nephews Maria Ramos
Kabes (Edward), Ofelia Ramos, Reynaldo Ramos (Juanita), David Ramos
(Lupita), Ramiro Ramos (Bertha), Trinidad Ramos Jr. (Elva), Daniel Ramos,
and Ruben Ramos.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, March 22, 2006,
at Delta Funeral Director's North Chapel, 1300 E. Harrison St., (956)
542-2222. Interment will follow at La Palma Cemetery.



LARUE 'RUDY' DEVINEY

LaRue "Rudy" DeViney went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 20, 2006. She
passed away peacefully at her residence in Dallas.

LaRue was born in Reagor Springs, Texas, on October 21, 1917.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dawson DeViney (who
was dean at TSC from 1953 to 1965); a son, Patrick DeViney; and a sister.

She is survived by her younger son, Don DeViney; daughter-in-law Marilyn;
twin granddaughters Angela and Amanda; grandson Dawson; a sister, Tina Ruth
(Jim) Fiegenschue; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitations and funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday,
March 22, 2006, at Red Oak Boze Family Funeral. Burial will follow in Red
Oak Cemetery.

GUADALUPE O. ROBLES

Guadalupe O. Robles, 74, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great
grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 19, 2006, at
Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas.

Mrs. Robles was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church in San Benito,
Texas. Her faith carried her through her illness, and the love for her
husband and children was immeasurable.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cirilo and Donata Ortega; her son,
Simon Robles; one brother and one sister.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Francisco Robles Sr. of
San Benito; two daughters, Elena (Victor) Treviño and Lupita Robles-Cortez,
both of San Benito; six sons, Ignacio (Christina) Robles, Ursulo Robles,
Frank Robles Jr., Jose Rene (Sandra) Robles, Daniel (Linda) Robles and Pablo
(Mirna) Robles, all of San Benito; daughter-in-law Mari T. Robles of San
Benito; grandchildren Liza (Jesse) Robles, Angelica Hernandez, Chriselda
Robles, Victor Tizoc Treviño, Vicente Cuauhtemoc Treviño, Ursula Robles,
Anna Veronica Robles, Sandy Jo Robles, Karin Robles, Jose Rene Robles Jr.,
Renee Robles Jr., Renee Robles, Felipe De Jesus Cortez, Jesus Cortez Jr.,
Maritza Sarai Robles, Daniel Tomas Robles III, Dalia Rodriguez, Rosa
Rodriguez, Cindy Rodriguez and Gracie Robles; eight great-grandchildren,
four brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today, Wednesday March 22,
2006, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Visitations will be followed by a
funeral Mass to be celebrated at 1 p.m. at St. Theresa's Catholic Church,
1300 Combes St., in San Benito, officiated by her brother-in-law Father
Tomas Robles. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Pallbearers will be her sons, Ignacio Robles, Ursulo Robles, Frank Robles
Jr., Jose Rene Robles, Daniel Robles, and Pablo Robles.
