CIPRIANO BARAJAS LAYTON, 50, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2006 in
Carlisle, Ind. There will be no local services. Funeral arrangements are

ARNULFO BALBOA, 78, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2006, in Victo-ria,
Texas. He was born on February 24, 1928, in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas,
Mexico. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19,
2006, at Buena Vista Burial Park. Funeral arrangements are under Artero

JUANITA BRIONES, 62, went into the Lord's arms on April 16, 2006, at her
residence surrounded by her family. Funeral arrangements are pending under

INFANT JESUS OTERO, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2006, at Valley
Regional Medical Center. A graveside service was held at Guillen Community
Ceme-tery. Funeral arrangements were under Delta Funeral Directors, 1300 E.

SHARON A. KUHN, 92, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2006, at Valley Baptist
Medical Center-Brownsville. Funeral arrangements are pending under

MARIA O. DIAZ
Maria O. Diaz, 87, born on August 4, 1918, entered peacefully into eternal
rest on April 16, 2006, at her residence.

Her parents, Manuel and Anastácia Ortega; her husband, Miguel Diaz Sr.; her
daugh-ter, Maria M. Hernandez and her great-granddaughter Ashley N.
Jaramillo, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Diaz is survived by her sister, Elisa Diaz; her daughters and son,
Guadalupe Carrion (Felix), Oralia Lopez (Jose+) of Olmito, Texas; Manuela
Villarreal (Frank), Juanita Camarillo (Baldomero III), Mona Torres (Ray),
and Miguel Diaz Jr. (Estella); 23 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and
two great-great-grandchildren. Her family will miss her dearly.

light of life and will never walk in darkness." John 7:12

Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. with recitation of the holy rosary
at 7 p.m. to-day, Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at Christ
the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial
Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers are Juan Carrion, Felix Carrion Jr., Miguel Diaz III,
Miguel Hernandez, Jose Lopez Jr., and Manuel Lopez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Susana Diosdado, Barbara M. Camarillo and
Melissa R. Camarillo.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Joe I. Treviño, Garza

ROMAN ANGEL GRACIA
Roman Angel Gracia, 86, died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his
loving fam-ily, on Sunday, April 16, 2006.

He is survived by his wife, Lydia Vasquez Gracia of Brownsville, Texas, to
whom he was married for 64 years; seven children, 16 grandchildren, and 10
great-grandchildren: Javier Gracia (Pat), grandchildren, Brian and Kimberly
of Ponte Vedra, Florida; Elvia Reyes (Jose), grandsons, Rodney, Jeffrey,
Richard, and Joseph of Peyton, Colorado; Antonio V. Gracia (Lupe),
grandchildren, Roman Angel, Antonio Jr., and Esmeralda of Brownsville,
Texas; Jose Angel Gracia (Cruz), grandsons, Jose Angel, Jr., Marcos, and
Jaime of Fort Worth, Texas; Roberto Gracia (Jan), grandson, Jonathan of
Rancho Viejo, Texas; Carmen Enrico (Carlos) grandson, Christopher of San
Antonio, Texas; Yolanda Gracia, granddaughters, Angela and Lydia of
Brownsville, Texas. He is also survived by his sister, Maria Antonia
Gutierrez of Brownsville, Texas; his nephew, Alejandro Gracia (Francis) of
San Benito, Texas; and many other dear family members and friends.

Roman Angel was born August 2, 1919, in San Fernando, Tamps., Mexico, and
lived in Brownsville most of his life. He worked at Gulfside Warehouse for
over 30 years before he retired. More than anything, he enjoyed getting
together with family and friends. He could often be found on his front
porch, enjoying fresh air and chatting with neighbors.

He and his wife traveled frequently to San Fernando, where relatives and
friends al-ways made them feel at home, often visiting with them until the
early hours of the morning. One of Roman Angel's favorite pastimes was
playing "chalupa", a game he always preferred to win. He will dearly be
missed by his family and friends and will long be remembered for his loyalty
and dedication to his family, his strength, his pride, and his sense of
humor.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with recitation of the holy
rosary on Tues-day, April 18, 2006, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at
Immaculate Conception Cathedral.

A cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the Gracia Family would like donations made to St. Jude's
Chil-dren's Hospital.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista,
cemeter-ies, mausoleums and crematory 125McDavitt Blvd. Brownsville, Texas
