I am trying to verify the parents of my gr.gr. grandfather, James
Napoleon Stone who married 2nd Amanda Taylor in Cass county was indeed
the son of Thomas Jefferson Stone b. TN 1795 who married Sallie K.
(either Kendrick or Fox). John Stone b. 1761, Berks Co. PA, d. 1841 in
Shelbyville, Tn., married Mary Magdalend Seibold was a private in the
Revolutionary War. His fourth listed child was: Thomas J. Stone, b. 20
Jan. 1995, married Sallie K.Fox. This John Stone was listed in the
Texas DAR Patriot's book with the following DAR members names; Muriel
Polly Ray, no. 310795, Margaret Tugwell Porter, No. 232329, and Nell Ray
Tugwell, No. 96623. Nell Ray Tugwell was from Queen City. Are my Thomas
Jefferson Stone and this Thomas J. one and the same? The coincidences
are many yet I know this is common in our genealogical searches. Thanks
