Received this from another researcher and thought I'd pass it on.

<< I wanted to let you know, that I received an wonderful reference tool for
a Christmas gift, from my husband. It is an excellent book called: The Texas
Almanac (2000-2001), Millennium Edition. It is distributed by Texas A & M
University Press Consortium. Their phone # is 1-800 - 826 - 8911. It's ISBN
is 0-914511-29-7 , The cost was $19.95. It is an excellent tool for any
kind of Texas research.
It has tons of the Texas geography and historical trivia that every Texas
genealogical researcher could desire. It even has lists of old and new
towns, and what their names used to be, what they are now, and where they
were.
I thought that you might be interested. Please pardon the intrusion, if you
are not.
