> Where can I find some history on Latex, Louisiana, a little town in Caddo
Parish, Louisiana near the Texas border? My gggrandfather and
gggrandmother, Waupin and Caroline Davis lived there in 1880. One of their
sons, my ggrandfather, Warren Davis Sr., was born there about 1869 or 1870.
Their other known children included Silas b.1857, Alice b.1861, Roma (male)
b.1862, Nettie b.1864,Joe b.1866,Mary b. 1872 and Daisy b. 1874. Any of
these names familiar to anyone? Warren and his wife Mary Mollie Douglass
eventually moved to Gregg County. They were there in 1900.
