Whitmil is listed as the head of a family #299 on the 1850 Census in Montgomery Co, AL. Precinct #1
WHITMEL POWEL - 25, M, W, Farmer, $240 Real Estate, born AL.
Eliza - 20, F, W, born AL.
Franklin - 1, M, W, born AL.
Also in household:

The family continues but a new house is shown #300
