Thank you to you, Christy, and to two others who emailed me directly with this info for Mary A. Lyster. I've sent for her death certificate and hopefully will be able to confirm that she was my gr-gr-grandmother's sister.

I knew from an old letter that my gr-grandfather wrote to a cousin, that his mother's brother John R. Barfield had settled in the Daingerfield-Hughes Springs area. Finding Mary A. Lyster and her son Thomas also in this area was an unexpected bonus.
