good afternoon,are your gilbert's from upson county,georgia? i am trying to locate descendants of drury gilbert from upson county,georgia who died in 1857.there is a researcher mrs.p.d.nixon who wrote me after i had sent her information on my family and she concluded that drury gilbert was the slaveowner of my family however dave paterson does not agree with her as he is a historian and researcher of upson county,georgia.my great great grandfather miles richardson said on the 1867 voter registration records he came to texas in 1856.plus drury gilbert had three slaves named czar[charles],miles and julius[julian]and this coincides with my family on page 64,of the 1870 census of davis[cass]county,texas.muhammad abdullah-p.o.box 338-compton,ca.90223
