I am a descendant of James Willis Smith and Lucy Hix Bates Smith and am
seeking information on the family's arrival in East Texas. I know that
they came to Texas with his 6 brothers from Virginia. I think that one
of his brothers was probably John Frank Smith who was one of the very
early settlers in Cass county. Are you aware of anyone who might have
information on the Smith family? Thanks
