Hello;

I'm new to the list and looking for my husbands family. His
greatgrandparents came to Rusk after 1884. His ggrandfather was REV.
JOHN WESLEY MCLEOD b. 1853 NC. d. 1926 Rusk, Texas and married MARGARET
WILLIAM WATSON b. 1858 NC d. 1915 Rusk, Texas.

John was a minister there. We beleive at the Presbytery of Eastern
Texas.

John and Margaret had a daughter named Roberta Carmoletta McLeod. b.
1896 d. 1979 Lipan, Texas. She married Isham Robert Burnett b. 1896
Upshur Co. TX. d. 1976 Lipan, Texas.
They raised their children mostly in Rusk. One daughters name was Annie
Fay Burnett and she married Lawrence Ray Smith.

Have some info on the McLeod side but need help on the Burnett line.
Will be glad to exchange info with you.
