Hey Betty, you helped me a couple weeks ago with my Matteson, Fountain, Green lines. I had someone in California, who is kin to the Fountain's send me a ton of info. Been going through it. He also had been in contact with Joe and had some info from him. It list's the following:
Robert Jackson Fountain
son's
John Issac
Noah Shadmarch
Augustus "Alse" Dean*******this is the Augustus I mentioned in my query. He is my line.
Augustus "Alse" Deen Fountain married Sallie Langford
They had the following children:
Thomas Brooks ***my line
Benjamin Franklin
Augustus Dean
Marion Franklin
Melvin
Dock
Mary Ann
Then Sallie died in 1904. He is then listed as marrying one Elizabeth or Lizzie Coats/Kates
They had the following:
1 set of twins that died
Lillie
Dollie
Electra
Vern-------8/3/1909
Augustus "Alse" Dean Fountain then died in 1916. He is buried in Fenton cemetery in Nacogdoches co. TX
This is the first info that I have found on this wife and these children. Found Vern dying in Cherokee county. Want to get more info on this extension of my line. Andrea

I have a little bit of Fountain info, but not enough to help you with Vern
Fountain. I need a little bit more information to be able to identify
Augustus Dean Fountain. Or Elizabeth Coats. I have those names on my
database, but they may not be the same. I have Davis and Watson and some
sprinkles of others who married into the Fountain family.

I am looking for information on a Vern Fountain that died in Cherokee co. on
10/21/1993.
He is a half brother to my grgrandfather. His mother was the second wife of
Augustus Dean Fountain. Believe that her name was Elizabeth "Lizzie"
Coats/Kates. Any Fountain info would be greatly welcome. Thanks for any and
all help.
