MRS. ANNIE RICH PASSES AWAY IN COLLIN HOSPITAL

Mrs. Annie Bell RICH, 89 passed away Tuesday morning in Collin Memorial
Hospital after a short illness. She was born in Boone County Missouri June
30, 1875 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles ROLLINS, and came to the Lucas
community in this county, in childhood. She has lived in McKinney for
several years and was a member of the King Memorial Babtist Church. She
resided at 1503 Carrington Street.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Crouch-Moore
Funeral Chapel, conducted by Rev. Ray WILLIAMS, and Rev. S.D. LINDSEY.
Interment will be made in Fitzhugh Cemetery at Forest Grove.
Survivng are twelve children: Mrs. Stella BARNS (BARNES) of McKinney;
Clarence RICH of Cooper; Ernest RICH, of Edinburg; Mrs. Sam BARNS (BARNES)
of Dallas, Mrs. F.H. HAMMEL of McKinney; Mrs. W.H. BURDEN of Dallas; Mrs.
Johnny HOUK of Hawaii, Woody RICH of Dallas; Alvie RICH of Long Beach,
Calif; Mrs. Marvin SHADDOX of McKinney; Mrs. Wallace SIAM of Irving; Raymond
RICH of Irving; one sister, Mrs. Lena SHADDOX of Dallas; two half Brothers,
Shelby ROLLINS of Dallas and Reuben ROLLINS of Long Beach, Calif; 56
grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren. Her husband, Alfred
RICH died in 1944 and one son, Fred RICH, passed away in 1961.




MORT M. LANE OF PROSPER DIES TUESDAY

Mort M. LANE 77, of Prosper, passed away at his residence Tuesday
afternoon.
Funeral services will be held at the Prosper Baptist Church, of which he
was a memeber, with burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Turrentine-Jackson
Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Time is pending.
A life-long resident of Collin County, he was born May 2, 1887, and was
married October 28, 1906, to Miss Jessie LUSTER. He was a Mason and was
district foreman for the Lone Star Gas Company before his retiremnet.
Survivors are his wife: two sons, Fred and Frank LANE of Dallas, three
Daughters; Mrs, Lorene ROGERS, Austin; Mrs. Louis KOVSKY and Mrs.
Wales...............the rest of the obit is cut off.




HUBERT DOUGLAS PASSES AWAY IN SANGER REST HOME

Hubert DOUGLAS, 79, died Tuesday in a Sanger rest home. He was a native
of Collin County, Born May 28, 1885 at Rock Hill, the son of Dr. R.L.
DOUGLAS and Elizabeth ROGERS DOUGLAS. His father was a pioneer doctor and
one of the first in the area.
He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Frisco, where funeral
services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday. Interment will be in the Bethel
Cemetery. Staley Funeral Home directing.
Surving are his wife; three sons, William, Clifton and Robert DOUGLAS of
Bakersfield. Calif: three Stepdaughters, Mrs. Glen WILKINSON and Mrs.
Richard MILLER of Denton; Mrs. Ike STORY of R-1 McKinney: Stepson, Don
DOUGLAS of Denton.
